How to solve a Jumble with this tool
- Type the first jumbled word exactly as printed. Order does not matter.
- Read the top group, Anagrams using all letters. In most puzzles there is only one.
- Write the answer in the squares and note the letters in the circled squares.
- Repeat for the other jumbled words.
- Unscramble the circled letters last, using the cartoon caption as a hint. You can type them into the tool too.
Why one answer usually shows up
Jumble words are picked so that only one real word fits. Our word list agrees most of the time: 56% of five-letter words and 64% of six-letter words in our list have letters that spell no other word. When two words fit, such as SILENT and LISTEN, check which one makes sense with the circled letters and the caption.
Tips for the final riddle
- Count the blanks. The caption shows how many words and letters the answer has. Solve the longest word first.
- Look for puns. The answer is usually a play on words linked to the cartoon.
- Try likely endings. Common endings such as ING, ED or LY often appear in the final answer.
- Use a blank. If you are unsure of one letter, add a ? and see which words appear.
Our word list
We use ENABLE, an open list of everyday and game words without names or places. Puzzle answers are common words, so they are almost always in it. See how our word list works, or try the anagram solver for longer phrases.
Questions people ask
Does this give the daily Jumble answers?
No. You type the letters from your own puzzle and the tool finds the words. We don't publish puzzle answers.
What if no word uses all the letters?
Check for a typo first. If the letters are right, the word may be a newer or less common one that is not in our list. Shorter words are still listed below.
Can I solve the circled letters too?
Yes. Type the circled letters into the box. For a multi-word answer, look at the shorter words in the results and combine them.
Is TileFinch connected to the Jumble puzzle?
No. TileFinch is independent and not affiliated with the makers or publishers of Jumble.
